How is it living in Lynchburg, Va? - what does a female virgina look like
I am 24 years old, black woman, as seen clearly. I am married and have 2 children in common (2 to 4). I currently live in Philadelphia, PA, and I want to relocate a quiet place with good schools! We have family in Appomattox, Virginia, but we are moving to Lynchburg, through our work. I am a little nervous about the move, and I know nothing about Virginia and its culture. What is it? How's the weather? Is it a nice place to live? All answers are welcome!
Ps I have also heard that a large number of "racism" in Virginia ... Is that good? If so, where he is producing more? Thank you for helping us ..

What Does A Female Virgina Look Like How Is It Living In Lynchburg, Va?

I grew up in Lynchburg, and I'm a 20something black woman. It has changed a bit since I lived here - there are tons of restaurants and other "cultural" things. It is certainly not Philadelphia has its own culture. Christianity is great here - Freedom House and seminars at the University partners. There are many churches. Liberty has a lot of social activities - $ 1.50 movies, ice skating, Christian bookstores, and many new companies are in the region. It makes for a slower life, which is a pleasant change from the busy life.
I have a real appreciation of Lynchburg. A city-based family with friendly people (in general). And the schools are good. In relation to racism ... Yes, there are racist, depending on where you live. I think the city more diverse than ever. It was about 70% of whites and 30% black. The # s, which probably has a few not changed today. I avoid the area of Sandusky - had a few racist incidents there as a child.
Housing racially and economically BoothED by zip code. 24501-black/low-income; is 24,502 - less than the average (class Sandusky in this area, but were amended in May); 24,503 - Old currency area Rivermont; & 24504--low-income/black. The area of forest that lies just outside of Lynchburg is growing and is expected to be different. Bedford County, but I avoid.
The climate is temperate. Get all 4 seasons. Lots of snow. You can use a little ice. It has mountains nearby. Oh, and here is mountainous - the city of 7 hills.
