How do you get a dune buggy engine over the rear axle? - dune buggy blueprits
Me and some friends who want to build a buggy, but it seems we can not understand how to get the engine to the rear. We use a V8 engine. Is there some sort of gear used, or a string can be used in the transmission just below the gear?
Any help would be great

First, I should mention that this is an important engineering project or a project that will utilize the existing methods. The engineering approach is not recommended, it is highly unlikely that anything would work, or rig could have arisen in the course of time. The fact that you say, V-8, told me that you can forget the chains of transmission or any other home-made solution in a go-cart work great platform.
The normal solution is to settle for an engine, either before or after another trans-production on the axis. The most common solution is to VW, Corvair and Porsche. The VW can self-destruct after a V-8.
Since it is is a very complicated project, the best advice I can give that a little research. So I've included some links.
You can see that V-8 power can be sexy, but it complicates a simple project. And in the middle or rear-engine V-8 power is rare.
