I have the spark plugs, fuel filter, ignition coil all I can remember, I just want to get the car working well.

In addition to coping Lover not a fighter, it is possible to die a fuel pump or, more likely, the ignition module / ignitor. Resistance increases with temperature. The engine temperature rises considerably if you cut.
The next time that it does not start anymore, you see, if you are a spark from a spark plug ignition. If not, to find, the negative (-)-connection or a problem in the ignition coil. Tap a test light to the terminal and someone crank. The light should flash.
If not flashing, the module is bad.
It is a common problem in older cars.
If the temperature is connected, check the water temperature sensors and air temperature.
